Electronic Passports
Italian ordinary Electronic Passports are compliant to the standards defined by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
This document consists of 48 printed pages and it’s equipped with a RF (Radio Frequency) microprocessor, inserted inside the back cover, that stores both personal and biometric (photo and fingerprints) information of the holder and the digital signature of the Authority who issued the document.

Electronic Residence Permits
The Electronic Residence Permit allows foreigners and stateless people in the territory of the State to remain in Italy, under the conditions and in accordance with the current legislation.
The document consists of a smart card, resistant to wear (for this purpose printed data are protected by a thin transparent film, which is applied on both sides during its production) and displays the data of the foreigner. In addition, it is equipped with a RF (Radio - Frequency) microprocessor, that stores both personal and biometric (photo and fingerprints) information of the holder and the digital signature of Authority who issued the document.
